More about this wine from Štajerska-Slovenia, Eastern Slovenia
Piquette — it’s an old-timey style of making a sparkling beverage that a handful of producers around the globe are bringing back to life ever so elegantly. Grape Abduction, one of our fave producers hailing from Slovenia, is the maker behind this bottle that we can’t quite call wine because it’s not technically made from fermented grapes, but by adding water to Pinot Blanc’s pomace (the skins, seeds, and stems) then fermenting what’s left over. It’s so damn good, you’re going to want to stock up. And lucky for you, it’s naturally super low on ABV, so you can put back a few and still stand your ground.
