More about this wine from Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina
The name Casarena is a creative blending of two Spanish words. Casa (house) and Arena (sand). This brand new word is a tribute to the business's first winery that was built in the 1930s out of sand-colored stone AKA Sand House. At the time, this winery was the most innovative in Argentina, and Casarena continues to build upon this legacy. Today, the lead winemaker is Leandro Azin and he continues to shake things up with youth, innovation, and the desire to challenge the status quo of Argentinian wine.

The hand-picked Malbec grapes make for a lush, complex, but approachable bottle of deliciousness. The aromas from this juice are red raspberries and blackberries that are youthful, lush, and ripe. The sipping matches all that juicy fruit with a subtle touch of cracked black pepper and salty dark olives that when combined makes you crave each sip.

How to drink it

Pro Tip:

Shopping at Whole Foods is usually too pricey, but you're feelin' fancy on a Thursday. With no particular occasion in mind, you whip up an all organic dinner and experience how the other half eats for a night.
