More about this wine from Štajerska-Slovenia, Eastern Slovenia

One of our main guys on the ground finding kickass vino across Europe is J.P. Bourgeois. He's a native Frenchman with an unending focus on handcrafted, sustainably farmed, or certified organic wines across France, Spain, and beyond. The Grape Abduction wines are a collaboration with Gônc Winery in Slovenia and they are his newest find of ridiculously awesome wine that outperforms its price.

The Grape Abduction Rosé is a slightly darker pink than you'll find in the South of France, and it is bursting with ripe wild berries, wild strawberries, and a hint of freshly picked violets. The darker hue comes from the red grape Žametna Črnina, one of the oldest grapes in Slovenia! On the palate, the wine is round, fruity, with a refreshing acidity that carries all that red fruit aromas across the tastebuds to a long and smooth finish. This is your pink vino to cool off a weekend picnic when the sun just starts getting a touch too hot. See more from winemaker Peter Gönc below.

How to drink it

Dreaming something out of this world while jamming out and snagging some rays on a rooftop on a sunny Sunday afternoon

Space Oddity - David Bowie

Pair up this refreshing juice with some super fresh fruit. We're thinking a fruit salad made of grapes, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, and anything you can find at your favorite springtime farmers' market.

Try it with our Spicy Pork Skewers recipe.
