More about this wine from Chile
Malted wine, you say? Is that even a thing? And why has no one done this before? Because it’s "Illegal," of course, like its namesake, breaking all the rules of wine and beer making. Really what it took was a Chilean with a vision to try creating a sparkling blend of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc and Czech craft beer. And try they have, experimenting for a few years to get the product just right. One of Viña Ventisquero’s winemakers has been working on the wine, while a Czech brewer helped develop a special lager, which includes four different types of malted barley and saaz hops.

The result of their efforts is a bubbly, lip-smacking drink, perfect for those looking for a less heavy alcohol alternative, as it’s both lower in calories and alcohol content than wine. This “wine” is hard to find and appeals to both vino and beer lovers, so we recommend you stock up here now.
