More about this wine from Rhône Valley, France
The Rhône Valley is like a wonder of the world for wine nerds. It's a Taj Mahal minus the glam castle, but you may find some more humble wine estates that hosted French royalty for centuries to sip on vino and hunt the grounds. The Domaine Pélaquié family-run estate has such a history; the estate has been passed down father to son for generations, cultivating the same land all the way back to the 16th century.

The current son in charge, Luc Pélaquié, has modernized the winery, all the while protecting the traditions of his ancestors. He practices sustainable viticulture, certified by HVE (AKA certified awesome), on his 100 hectares of vines located in the Côtes-du-Rhône. The smells are of violet and dried red flowers that fade into broken-in leather. he sippin' is bright, tart, and juicy with sips of blueberries, black cherry, and red licorice that fade into clove.

How to drink it

Pro Tip:

This classic French Rhône Valley blend has the most delightful spice finish, so we thought more spice equals more nice paired with this Shawarma Spiced Braised Leg of Lamb
