More about this wine from Valle de Cafayate, Salta, Argentina
The name Casarena is a creative blending of two Spanish words. Casa (house) and Arena (sand). This brand new word is a tribute to the business's first winery that was built in the 1930s out of sand-colored stone AKA Sand House. At the time, this winery was the most innovative in Argentina, and Casarena continues to build upon this legacy. Today, the lead winemaker is Leandro Azin and he continues to shake things up with youth, innovation, and the desire to challenge the status quo of Argentinian wine.

Torrontes is one of Argentina's most popular white wine grapes, but for some reason, it hasn't broken out to pop culture stardom outside of its home. Think of this grape as Sauv Blanc's cool cousin from Argentina that can cut a mean rug. When you bring this bottle to the picnic, you're gonna look super cool. The juice is quite aromatic with tons of citrus-like pink grapefruit, star fruit, and lemon-lime notes. The mouthfeel is elegant with a perfectly tart and refreshing finish that pairs well with laying in the sun.
