More about this wine from Südtirol-Alto Adige, Italy
Lagrein is an ancient grape varietal that hails from the Alto Adige region in Northern Italy that sits right on the Austrian border. Thus, the confusion with the Germanic name and the Italian passport. Very little Lagrein is grown outside of this border region, so we’re glad you’re meeting this grape, maybe for this first time, through legendary winemaker Hofstätter. The family has been making wine for four generations, and they produce nearly all varietal-driven wines that truly express the unique character of this sunny Alpine region of the world — like this unique and expressive bottle of Lagrein.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

Baking pasta that can be sliced is basically the next level heaven and then you pair it with this classic Italian juice... mind blown
