More about this wine from Adelaide Hills, Australia

The Adelaide Hills region is located in the southern higher elevations just east of the city of Adelaide in the state of South Australia. The spot is known as one of the cooler wine regions in Australia. Despite warm summer days, the area experiences cool nights. And you guessed it... that climate is why this wine tastes so darn good. It's got that tart sting of some acid balanced with smooth oak that can only be achieved with this weather pattern.

The crew at Thistledown has a strict goal and a philosophy that wine in the bottle should show off the flavors of this place. Fruit is picked in the cool of the early morning and goes directly to press where the free-run juice is run off to tank to settle. The final product is so much citrusy goodness that becomes more smooth and creamy on the palate. A decadent Chardonnay that takes you on a flavor ride, but never goes too much over the top.
