More about this wine from Willamette Valley, Oregon
It's hard to believe that as recently as the mid-1970s the rest of the world didn't believe amazing wine could be produced in America. In 1976, a Napa, CA winery prevailed in the world's most esteemed blind tasting challenge in Paris. That moment was a shot heard around the wine world and started a modern-day gold rush of the American Wine Business. It started with Napa, but the explosion of awesome American wine has spread to places like the home of this elegant pinot noir... Willamette Valley, Oregon.

These deluxe Pinot Noir grapes are harvested from three hidden vineyards in the Willamette Valley dubbed Cherry Grove Vineyard with older vines, Finnigan Hill Vineyard with volcanic soil, and Hirschy Vineyard closer to the ocean. Blended together, this Pinot Noir is distinctly Oregonian. It starts out bright and lively and hits you with ripe cherries, but as you sip, more complicated flavors linger on your taste buds like Oolong Tea, macerated plums, and the essence of very dry and dusty dirt road.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

Reminiscing the early 90s and the grunge scene in the Pacific NW. Nirvana's cover of "The Man Who Sold the World" is the first song to come to mind
