More about this wine from Alentejo, Portugal
One of our most favorite pastimes at WA is introducing our people to regions, grapes and tastes that are more under the radar. This particular bottle falls into that category, as the grapes in this red blend are the somewhat obscure to some: Alicante Bouschet and Trincadeira. Native to Portugal, Alicante Bouschet is one of the southern regions favored grapes and it loves, loves this hot dry climate of the historic and traditional Alentejo village it was grown in. If you love a big, fruity wine from California - you’re definitely going to want to give this vino a swirl. Not just because it’s a fabuloso wine, but, as with many Portuguese wines, the value for the taste is second to none.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

Comfort food is key here, like a warm braised stew from this wine's home country.
