More about this wine from Vino de la Tierra de Castilla, Spain
Monastrell, also known as Mourvèdre in France, is found all over Central Spain. For those unfamiliar, this grape is often a blending grape, but standing on its own, it's a big, smoky wine with complex flavors and a lot of personality — kind of like your favorite aunt. And this particular bottle was reared in the wine region of la Tierra de Castilla by Totaros, a label whose name is in homage to the bull, that famous symbol of Spain. Like its namesake, this wine is bold and the taste is intense, but in a good way. Enjoy it with big, warm dishes and big, warm friends.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

A wine to go with all sorts of meats and pastas, but we love the idea of barbecuing some ribs to reveal this wine's fruity layers.
