More about this wine from Tuscany, Italy
When it comes to Piegaia wines, organic farming is the standard at their Villa Calcinaia vineyard –where grapes spread over 75 acres that give life to the fields, woods, and ultimately, their cellars. Situated in the center of Chianti Classico near the town of Greve-in-Chianti, the estate has been home to the Counts Capponi since 1524, and today is overseen by Sebastiano Capponi. His classic and lush Sangiovese (with a hint of Canaiolo) expresses the love this family has for their land and traditions. And this bottle of Chianti Classico is an honest one–truly fit to bear that name Capponi.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

Sauces with meats are the go to here, especially grilled ones.
