More about this wine from Adelaide Hills, South Australia
The Kozned family has a long tradition of growing grapes even before emigrating to Australia. Before WW2, they were landholders and winemakers in the Caucasus region in Southern Russia, which is renowned for producing quality wines — especially Shiraz. Grapes have long been in Mark Kozned’s blood and so he named this line of wines Firebird, to honor his ancestors. And from where he lives and works, the cool climate of Adelaide Hills, Mark and his family grew the contents of this bottle during a year that was wet and cool which really allowed the fruit in this Cab (with a bit of Merlot) to come forward.
