More about this wine from Tejo, Portugal
You may be new to Portuguese wine, so let us make an introduction on your behalf. It’s fabulous, it’s affordable, and it’s finally coming into its own around the world. This red blend is made with Castelão, an indigenous Portuguese varietal known for its earthy fruitiness, Tinta Roriz aka Aragonês aka Tempranillo (that famous Spanish grape), and Trincadeira. This last varietal (also known as Alentejo or Tinta Amarela to Douro producers) kills it in hot, dry regions, so loves growing in Tejo, where this vineyard lives. Often used in Port wine, it’s a great blender grape, and adds a rich aura. If you’re a lover of red blends from Spain or France, you’re going to want to give this perfect bistro wine a whirl.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

As with most red Portuguese blends, yes to the meats, but this slightly lighter wine would do a bang up job with chicken tacos.
