More about this wine from Veneto, Italy
Valpolicella — it’s both an Italian wine region in Veneto and a blended red wine style. And in this bottle, we’re talkin’ ‘bout the juice. A quick Wine 201 tutorial: To be a true Valpolicella, vintners (by law) must use a certain percentage of varietals: 45-95% Corvina, Rondinella 5% to 30%, Corvinone can be used up to 50% in place of Corvina, and throw in a little Molinara for good measure. The Tedeschis, the family behind this bottle, have been making wine for almost four centuries, so you know this Capitel Nicalò is going to taste heavenly, just as a Valpolicella should.
