You may wonder to yourself, what do Black Sabbath and orange wine have in common? One of our favorite winemakers, Peter Gönc, who has been making remarkable wines from his family’s estate in the oldest town in Slovenia, Ptuj, thinks his single vineyard batch of orange wine is reminiscent of this classic tune. The wine is made from 100% Yellow Muscat grapes that are hand picked early in the morning with the morning mist, then de-stemed and punched down every six hours for 42 days, then aged in French oak for 15 months. Needles to say, the richness and fruitiness of this Slovenian orange wine is a true gastronomic delight.
