This is the kind of wine you write home about on your long weekend trip to Lisbon. It’s the kind of wine you’ve come here to taste. The kind that will remind you of your travels long after you’ve returned home to life in the trenches. When you think fondly of it, this is the red blend bottle you’re going to want to have at the ready. It’s the Syrah blended with the grape Touriga Nacional which, while it sounds like a Cuban nightclub, is what gives this red blend it’s kicky personality. It’s full bodied and dry and gives you the kind of depth you can find in a New World Cab, but the affordable price is almost as astonishing as the superb taste.
How to drink it

 Goat and Iberian sheep work well here, and for the main meal, go with a hearty stew like this juicy pot roast.
