More about this wine from Maipu Valley, Mendoza, Argentina
The name of this bottle, Maipe means "Lord of the Wind" in Quechua, the language of South American Indians living in the Andean highlands from Ecuador to Bolivia. The Andean people still call out to this God to clear the skies after a heavy rain or to help mellow the air from the summer heat. With these elements in mind, Casir dos Santos, one of the oldest wineries still operating in Argentina, decided to name this kick-ass Rosé made of uniquely Argentine 100% Malbec grapes. We’re not sure if you’ve had a rosé made entirely of this grape before, but it is something else entirely. Perfect for quelling the summer heat.
