More about this wine from California

David Gordon is the wine director at Tribeca Grill, the famed New York City restaurant. Owned by restaurateur Drew Nieporent and Robert DeNiro (you know, the guy from movies like Casino and Goodfellas). Gordon's wine program at the Tribeca Grill features over 1800 selections and is recognized as a helluva wine list by every publication we can think of. Through all the hard work, Gordon knows some of the best winemakers and spots for grapes in California. His goal with the Jeanne Marie wines is to bring you an awesome bottle that is affordable to open up any night of the week.

The juice is classic California Cabernet Sauvignon, and by that we mean juicy and fruit forward, but still restrained and not loaded up with oak. Easy sippin' and medium-bodied with notes of black currant, stewed plum, blackberry, and a hint of mint. Notes of smoke and forest floor emerge on the long, layered finish. Complicated and nuanced in all the right ways.

How to drink it

Pro Tip:

After complaining about the cold all winter, you're starting to really miss it. You crank the A/C way down, light up the fire place, and pretend it's January.
