More about this wine from Maipú Valley, Mendoza, Argentina
The name of this bottle, Maipe, means "Lord of the Wind" in Quechua, the language of South American Indians living in the Andean highlands from Ecuador to Bolivia. The Andean people still call out to this God to clear the skies after a heavy rain or to help mellow the air from the summer heat. With these elements in mind, Casir dos Santos, one of the oldest wineries still operating in Argentina, decided to name this white wine — made of uniquely Argentine 100% Torrontés grapes — after Maipe and to honor their Lunlunta vineyards in which this spring-like wine was created.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

Torrontés is very aromatic, so foods need to match its intensity, like this super flavorful tuna tartare.
