More about this wine from Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina
The name of this bottle, Maipe means "Lord of the Wind" in Quechua, the language of South American Indians living in the Andean highlands from Ecuador to Bolivia. The Andean people still call out to this God to clear the skies after a heavy rain or to help mellow the air from the summer heat. With these elements in mind the biodynamic winery at the foothills of the Andes Mountains in Mendoza, Chakana, the name given to the Southern Cross constellation that is believed to be the key to finding the perfect timing for the cultivation and harvesting of crops, created this juicy, weighty hand-selected 100% Malbec to express the diversity of the Andean climate and soils.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

Though Argies love their steaks with their Malbecs, fatty fish is also a great pairing, like this meaty swordfish.
