More about this wine from Ugarteche - Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina
Familia Blanco is the eponymous family-owned winery located in Mendoza, in the sub-zone Luján de Cuyo — the region that first showed Malbec’s promise and home to some of the most famous Argentine winemakers. For three generations, the Blancos have worked the land to grow fruit and select the best grapes to make a Malbec that has a fuller body and rich complexity. And in this family named red blend, the winemakers chose Malbec (the iconic grape of Argentina), Bonarda (Familia Blanco’s signature grape) plus a toss of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon to create a classic wine overflowing with personality. It is elegant and powerful but doesn’t go on the attack as much as it resolutely expresses itself through various moments of sensory zen.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

Malbec blends love dark meats, but if you’re looking for a meat-free pairing, blue cheese is a great way to go. Check out this classic iceberg lettuce recipe for a lighter touch.
