Pinotage is South Africa’s own grape, a bold red that’s a cross between Cinsault and Pinot Noir. So it makes sense that the winery that made this 100% Pinotage is named, Indwe, the Xhosa name for the Blue Crane, South Africa's national bird, highly revered culturally—especially for its feathers which can only be worn by the Zulu king and royalty. This bird is also endangered, and proceeds from the sale of this bottle help support this bird’s conservation efforts.
