More about this wine from Costières de Nimes AOP, France
Picture yourself driving a Peugeot in the middle of a French summer as you catch sight of rolling hillsides of lavender and a breeze with a slight hint of the Mediterranean sea behind it. This is the world of Costières de Nimes, a little-known appellation at the southernmost edge of the Rhône Valley with a history of wine that dates back to the ancient Greeks. This terroir here runs a bit wild, like all of Pierre Vidal’s wine - and this fleshy but elegant red blend is no exception. It’s a Grenache with Syrah and Mourvèdre filling out the rest of the bottle that wants to be drunk with food; this long-limbed bottle is going to love all of your big, rich dishes.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

This wine will love spicy dishes, but also a classic French quiche.
