As you know, we here at WA are big fans of the Giunta wines. This white blend of Chenin Blanc, Viognier, and Chardonnay is intriguing and the maker started it all with the Hawke’s Bay Wine Auction when he made the ‘Appellation Trio’, a 3-grape blend made from three different Hawke’s Bay regions. The response to it was so enthusiastic, he decided to make a version for his Giunta line. And in this bottle, the varietals express their fingerprints of crisp apple, lush stone fruit and floral spice — a truly proper beach or picnic wine that is ever-evolving, even in the glass after you pour it.
