More about this wine from Valençany, AOP Loire Valley, France
Fom Mary Taylor, a long time favorite importer of WA - who was nominated as Wine Enthusiast’s 2022 Importer of the Year - another incredible wine she sources along the road less traveled. This bottle is from the family-run Domaine Jourdain run by Sophie Siadou and her partner Francis Jourdain in the Valençay area of France’s Loire valley. What it may lack in name - it makes up for in charm and deliciousness. Their light yet sturdy red blend is holistically produced from the region’s three main varieties: Gamay, Pinot Noir, and Côt (the local name for Malbec), and it reflects what an honest, regionally expressive wine can do.
