More about this wine from Sancerre, Loire Valley, France
Ah, wines from Sancerre, how we love thee. There is something about that crisp, snapping, flinty white that keeps us coming back bottle after bottle. If you love wines from Sancerre like this, we suggest getting yourself into Elisa's Gueneau estate, where she works her plots with respect to nature and the environment — 35 acres of vines planted on steep slopes that surround the villages of Sury-en-Vaux, Chavignol, and Sancerre. The vines of the Sauvignon Blanc were grown in the calcareous clay soils known locally as “terres blanches,” which gives this shiny white wine its roundness and complexity.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

This wine loves both salads and gorgonzola, so put them on some crust and enjoy it as a pizza.
