More about this wine from Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia
From what are thought to be the oldest known soils in Australia (originating over 550 million years ago!), this winery derives its name – the Heathcote ‘greenstone’ is a form of copper-infused basalt, and is an integral part of these ancient, deep red-colored Cambrian soils. This part of the world also boasts a climate that, combined with its earth, is an ideal locale for producing Shiraz. Luckily for us, Greenstone Winery is only focused on producing small batches of wine, handcrafting outstanding bottles like this Shiraz — loaded with its winery’s distinct and typical earthiness for that added ‘oh, wow’ factor.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

BBQ is the ultimate go-to here, but so is tangy Korean, so enjoy this combo Korean barbecue recipe (with daikon!).
