Don't do the disservice to your taste buds by missing out onCarménère. Check out the Grape Guide: Carménère to get into the weeds. Carménère is one of the Bordeaux family of grapes; Cabernet Franc is one of its parents, making it a half-sibling of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

This was the second French rose in my mystery box, also a mix of syrah and grenache, which might be my secret blend because I loved this one just as much as the Le Rose. The proportions were reversed, however, with more syrah than grenache this time. Still delicious!

Typical French rose -- hard to find one that doesn't taste just delightful. Delicate aromas strawberry and raspberry; kind of juicy smelling like a gummy bear. Tart, not overly crisp. Peach and strawberry flavors. Good on it's own or pair it with something light.

Not my favorite wine ever, but plenty drinkable: It's not overly citrus-y, like many whites, because of the chardonnay that's blended in. Held up over successive evenings. I'm not going to rush out to buy it, but I'd certainly re-drink it if that's what was on the menu.

I found this to be a nice light Red. Easy drinkability. It kept... well over 2 weeks with its little screw top. Nothing bold or memorable. Very cool label. I think it is servable to many. I would not get it again except possibly as a party wine.
