More about this wine from Gimblett Gravels, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
Can you taste a wine and feel inspired? Well, we think so — and so does Daniel Brennan, a Philadelphian, who after tasting a Martinborough Pinot Noir, left for New Zealand in 2007 to learn to make wine. Other than a few bucks, he took the spirit of his great-grandfather, Michelino Rodolico, a Sicilian winemaker, with him on his epic journey. The fruit of his faith and labor is this bottle from Hawke’s Bay. It’s an organic Malbec from the rocky soils of Gimblett Gravels appellation, and it’s a wine made for anyone with a nose for adventure.
