More about this wine from Nemea Valley, Corinth, Peloponnese, Greece
You know Sauvignon Blanc because you love it, especially from New Zealand and Western France. And it’s an exciting time to be this grape, because it’s being grown in regions further afield like Greece (although they did invent the craft.) Zacharias is one of the largest private wineries in several-thousand-years-old winemaking region Nemea, where, if you remember your mythology, Hercules slew the lion. Over the past few decades, the Zacharias family has brought French methods and equipment to its operation, and this tart and zesty bottle shows off just how good Greek winemaking has gotten, again.
