More about this wine from Adelaide Hills, South Australia
The Kozned family has a long tradition of growing grapes even before emigrating to Australia. Before WW2, they were landholders and winemakers in the Caucasus region in Southern Russia, which is renowned for producing quality wines, especially Shiraz. Grapes have long been in Mark Kozned’s blood — and so he named this line of wines Firebird, to honor his ancestors. And in this bottle of all Grüner Veltliner (which we love grown outside of Austria!), you can feel the complexity of this Austrian grape finding its way in the Adelaide Hills soils — conjuring up a mix of herbs, fruit and nuttiness that will impress even the most ardent Grüner enthusiasts.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

We love pairing Grüner with herb-based dishes, like this decadent leek salad.
