More about this wine from Valpolicella DOC Superiore, Veneto, Italy
Within the Veneto wine region of Italy lies the DOC of Valpolicella, where this Superiore was harvested, pressed and bottled. It’s a classic Valpolicella red blend, which means it is a combo of three indigenous grape varieties, Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella. Usually, the Corvina grape is the lynchpin of the triad, making up 45 to 95 percent of the blend. But the vintners at Casa dei Reti decided on a 40% Corvina, 40% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella proportion. The decision to equalize the base grape makes for an extremely balanced wine that is fresh and fruity with a distinct harmony between the body and structure that is positively elegant.
How to drink it

Pro Tip:

An Italian red blend from Northern Italy cries out for pasta. And what better to serve than a classic, easy marinara sauce made from scratch.
